Nice vintage 42 year old display battery found in the back of a defunct speedshop,that was originally shipped directly from an automotive parts warehouse.
Comes with it's original shipping carton,and has virtually no wear or fading.
Made directly at the Delco-Remy Anderson Indiana plant.
It's hollow and was made for display purposes only,as it only weighs 5 lbs. & was specially made WITHOUT lead cells for this very reason.Never had electrolyte added to it.
No chips are damage,and has the authentic Delco eye design side casing.
The top lifts off to show prospective buyers the inner workings of this newly designed battery for 1971.
This is a REAL R89 complete battery casing & is NOT being reproduced at all today and never has been.
This has the R59 top post like case,with the newly designed side terminal connections for 1971.
Comes with original delco eye & caps and the two 3/8" threaded metal side terminals as well.
