Installing Rear Springs

In a 62 with coil springs, do I need to use a spring compressor or will the rear end swing down far enough to remove and install the springs without one??

With the shocks disconnected, the rear end will swing down enough to let the springs fall out.

Don't forget to check the condition of the rubber bushings that hold the rear end in the car. No sense in doing the work twice.
