64 Impala headers

Hi,
I've got a 64 Impala SC with 327-4 speed and power steering. Does anyone know what header will fit? I'd like to use full tube headers, but with all the clearance issues(x-frame,a-arms,clutch assembly, etc) I can't get a definite answer from anyone if they will fit. Thanks.

All headers should fit if you have new frame bushings and all stock parts. It is when you run raised ports and aftermarket parts that things do not fit normally because the makers of headers have no idea what you have bolted on your car (such as lowering the car from it's stock ride height). They build headers to fit a stock car just like Chevrolet built it back when it was brand new. If you have a custom car then you need a custom made header, and if you buy one off the shelf for a stock car and bolt it on your custom car then you shouldn't complain.

If someone offers a testimonial as to how their header fits (either good or bad) then you need to enquire as to what he has in his car that isn't stock to see if you have the same parts. If you have the fabricating skills to restore a rusty 45 year old car you have the skills required to weld together a header kit designed to custom fit your car just the way you want it to fit. They are sold with all the parts you need to make an equal length tube header system that will clear everything and fit like a glove without a dimple. Once welded solid they can be thermal coated if desired or painted with high temp paint (headers as received are painted with regular paint designed to show any scratches and protect the tubes from rusting in the box. They also chose regular paint knowing it will burn off the first time you crank up the car and start the process of buying your next set of headers.
