I recently bought a 1968 Biscayne. It has the original steering wheel. It did not have the horn button on the wheel. I found what I think are all the parts to re-assemble the horn button and horn trigger/switch. I have the horn button, a plastic ring, another plastic ring with 3 cylinders incorporated into it, a flat disk with 3 holes in it, a cup with 3 holes in it and a disk that appears to be a insulator with 3 raised metal dimples on one side. I think I am still missing the spring and another small rod that rides on the spring and the screws that hold it all to the steering wheel. Does anyone know what the order of these items is, and if I have all the components once I locate a spring and small rod. Or perhaps you direct me to a source that would have the proper order and missing parts.
Thanks, John

John,

I believe the `68 Biscayne (and all `60's era Biscaynes for that matter) had a Biscayne specific Horn Center Cap, but the internal parts for the Horn Actuator would be the same across the full size line.

Classic Industries sells a complete Horn Hardware kit that includes the spring and Actuator Rod you're looking for. I don't however remember if you can buy this without having to purchase the Center Cap too, which would be the Impala N34 Sport Steering Wheel style Cap. Either way, the price for this kit was not unreasonable if I remember correctly.

Might want to take a look at their online parts catalog. I'm sure there are other Impala parts vendors that sell the same kit, so check and see who has the best price.

Good luck,
