So I went by Friday to check on the progress of my 327 re-build. My buddy also working on a '68 Camaro resto and had taken off some 14" Cragar SS's. I said I didn't want to buy them because 2 were reversed offset and 2- were standard. I plan on putting 14" R.O. SS's all around (my 64 has 15x8 Corvette Rallys on it now with 225 BW's). He says "take them, mount them and see how they look". I get home mnt them (in a hurry and 95 degrees). Pile up the wife and kids and head down the street for a ball game. Turning into the park I felt a wobble. Immediately parked, got out and saw that all but one of the front-left wheel lug nuts had fallen off. Didn't tighten them down :sad:. Luckily, the wheel stayed on and nothing was damaged except some scraped up threads. Went back the Sat. morning and found all but one nut. I guess I'll have to buy a new set to replace the one missing. But the Impala definitely looks good on 14's. Lowered it quite a bit.
