Have been looking at the site for awhile and decided to post a question Ive been thinking about. I have a 64 Impala SS with a disc brake conversion. I want a better brake and suspension system. Would the steering and suspension from a 94-96 Impala SS fit? I dont want to buy the parts if they wont fit. If they wont fit, why not? What else could I do?

Welcome to the Team Troy!
The big B-bodies ran in succession of production series where the body received cosmetic changes but the running gear under the sheet metal remained the same for a longer production run than a year or two.
First Impala was the 1958 which kept the same "X" frame up until 1964 when the new 1965 body was released with a new perimeter frame. That series ran up until 1970 when another series was released with a bigger body and heavier frame to carry the added weight and bigger horse power cars that were all iced by the EPA and smog laws. The 1971 to 1976 cars all share similar parts. In 1977 the next change was introduced which reduced the size and weight of the B-body down to near the proportions of a 1970 Chevelle That chassis was used right up until the demise of the rear wheel platform; though many people do not recognize the bathtub models (1991-'96) as sharing anything in common with the earlier squared off 1979 to 1990 body styles (1977-78 had some unique parts that are interchangeable to an extent with others).
Because the chassis were different during these years many parts do not cross over as much as GM would have liked, though things like brakes are fairly interchangeable, there are different spindle sizes and attachment points to reflect the different geometries of different sized A-frames and tie rods across the years that prevent a direct bolt up.

If you want better brakes, you could upgrade to "big brakes" like Baer, or Wilwood, etc. Otherwise you could upgrade to slotted rotors and better pads. Try Hawk for some really good pads. Not sure if they have them for a 64 but worth looking into.
