Hey all,
Could someone post a pic of their radiator from a 64 impala? I have never had an original and need to see what the engine side of the radiator looks like. I bought a radiator off of ebay and the guy said it was for a 64 but the bolt holes do not line up. It fits in the opening on the radiator support brace but the bolt holes are way off. Both inlet and outlet are on passenger side about 3 inches or so from the side. Car was originally a 283/3 on the tree. The radiator I got also has auto tranny fitttings on it, if that makes a diiference in the mounting or not.
Thanks, Darryl

This may help a little. I remember the interchange manual stating that the '64 Radiator is by itself. Nothing else is supposed to fit in it's place. You may have one from a different year. Try to see if you can find a date code on it, altho someone may have changed the mounting frame on it sometime thru the years. It also may be possible that it is from a Chevelle. Sorry that I don't have a picture available.

all after market radiators from that time are probably going to have tranny cooling lines. this pic is from a modine catalouge. if what you have doesnt fit, it possible that a modification will have to be made or an additional mounting bracket missing? good luck,.Bruce
