Hello to all!
I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with some speaker wiring.
I have a 65 Nova SS with the factory am/fm mono radio that has the removable multiplex by-pass plug on it's bottom.
I recently purchased a multiplex adapter which mounts under the dashboard from a 67 Impala. This adapter has a cord with a plug on it that plugs directly into the bottom of my radio after removal of the by-pass plug.
The 4 speaker wiring has 2 seperate sets of 3 wires bonded together and all going into 1 plug.
I'm assuming that each set is for left and right channels, (front and rear).
I have searched high and low, and have had no luck finding a wiring schematic which would tell me the correct way to wire the speakers.
Black-Brown and Purple is 1 set.
Brown-Blue and Black is the other set.
Any and all help on this is greatly appreciated, even if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Steve G.

You might try an assembly manual for your year of car.

Hi Lawrence and thanks for your reply.
I have an assembly manual for my Nova and all it shows is a rear single speaker option.
1965 was the 1st year for the fm mono radio in a Nova. They did not offer a stereo, even dealer installed!
My multiplex adapter came from a 67 Impala. I was kinda hoping that someone out there had a wiring manual or an assembly manual from a 67 Impala that showed the wiring color code, or anything about the multiplex adapter for that matter.
I really don't want to purchase a manual for this car only to find out that it doesn't have the info I'm looking for.
Thanks for your reply,
Steve G.

My 69 Camaro had 1 of those under the dash but wasn't hooked up when I bought the car and the original radio was missing. So I can't help you on this.
