Txbobcat 10-23-2008, 10:42 AM Fabricate a bracket that will work Big Dave 10-23-2008, 10:48 AM Kick down is electric on the TH400. Switch mounts either on gas pedal or under hood usually. Could be mistaken but that is what I remember. Big Dave 1968 Caprice 396 10-23-2008, 11:53 AM Ya it is quite an obnoxious large switch- I have the same on my '68. You'll have to fabricate something or look through Holley's accessories. They do make some bracketry for stuff like that. Or you might find a Mr Gasket or similar aftermarket set up that you can adapt. Something like a universal throttle cable mount that could be adapted. Just make sure to mount the little pad on the carb correctly so that it clicks the switch under WOT. Make sure it doesn't impede full throttle movement. You can drive without it in the meantime but will have to drop it manually in the meantime. ;) dgwar 10-23-2008, 08:34 PM They make a kit for it. true connections has themn, it is in the book but not online 1-800-600-4144 John1956 11-01-2008, 04:53 PM Why not use a 69 and newer switch that mounts by the gas pedal inside the car? | |
