Paint Code

Hey all, New owner of a beautiful 66 impala 2dr. sport coupe...wondering if someone could decipher my paint code...It's M-M...I know 65's with M-M meant Milano Maroon....Just wanted to see if it stayed the same in 66.

Hello there I just joined today. According to Chevy by the numbers book MM for 66 Impala is Aztec Bronze. NN for 65 and 66 Impala is Madeira Maroon.The 65 Corvette paint code MM was Milano Maroon which was a Vette color only.then in 66 the Milano Maroon Vette code was changed to 988. my first new car was an NN Maderia Maroon Impala in 65. Am now restoring a 65 Impala SS 327 250HP with PG . also has original PS.PB.(putting on front disc)Tilt wheel,PW.Manual Left remote control mirror,rear window de-fogger and AC.and white interior , it was built in(code NOR) Norwood, OHIO not at NORWOOD ,CALIFORNIA as some books say. IT's original color was HH Willow Green, But i will be painting it the 65 Corvette MM Milano maroon.

good catch. MM is Aztec Bronze. don, does your cowl tag have both 2P and 4F? Also, does it have 2spd wipers and day/night inside rearview mirror?

just got the car back a couple of weeks ago from a young guy who did some body work and a paint job,he did a good job at a very good price,but did it on a part time basis and had it almost 8 month's. guess that is the price for low cost. my cowl tag is (been to cold here in OH to get much done on it)
