Welcome to the Team Darryl!

Sorry I didn't welcome you on your first post.

Your trim tag decodes as a 1966 (if I am seeing a 66 and not a 65 as the photo is a little blurry) two door Impala convertible (16467) V-8; manufactured in the third week of Feburary (02C) in Arlington, TX (BT). The car was painted beige (VV) with a Cameo beige interior (870). The group one accesory code of C60 I can not find in my book.

Big Dave

My Guess is C60 is air conditioning.

It's definitely 65, and I agree with C60 air.

The 16467 is an Impala Convertible. The paint code VV-3 shows the exterior color VV (Cameo Beige) and the -3 is the original top color. I think you could get White, Black, or Beige tops and I'm guessing -3 is for Beige but dont quote me on that one. Warren has this in his data base so he should be able to confirm that for you. Also the C60 is the factory air conditioning RPO for all 60's chevrolets. Arlington used the actual RPO accessory codes on the cowl tag rather than the hieroglyphic numerals that some of the other plants used during this timeframe.
Sounds like it was a good southern ordered car with light interior, light exterior and air conditioning. Built in Texas and probably sold in one of the hot southern states.

Thanks Graig,
Just like to comfirm, The car was painted beige (VV) with a Cameo beige interior (870). How can I get a hold of Warren to see what color top 3 would be.

Warren frequents this site and should respond within a few days. His user name is TAR6569, you can send him a Private Message and he will see it when he logs on next time. But tell him to post the answer on this forum for all of us to see.

Hi Darryl! Yes the 3 is beige top.

What is the vin#? Arlington convertibles are really hard to come by. They had only made 234 by the third week of February!

I'll take a look and see if I have any others in my list.

Warren
