The Upper Steering Shaft Coupling on my 64 is worn out and gives me play between the wheel and the rag joint. I have not been able to find a replacement. I have read about people replacing with a U-joint or an identical looking coupler from a Jeep. The Jeep link is below, any suggestions?
Check the usual suspects, classic industries, show cars automotive, they usually have stuff. Mine was repairable... What did you ever do about ride height? Mine is in today getting new front springs installed.
Fat Man's and Flaming River both sell everything you need to connect the steering wheel to the front tie rod with aftermarket parts. But first I would check Rock Auto for factory original parts to replace what you are having issues with.
The Jeep Steering Shaft Coupling was a perfect fit and I highly recommend swapping your old one out if you have any play. The car steers like it did back in 64.
Thanks for letting us know it worked  . I had also heard that it was interchangeable, but never heard of somebody actually doing it.
