Very informative and easy to understand. Lots of photographs and explains why you need to machine or check the tollerances. Also shows you the machinery you should expect to see in your machinists shop (if you need help deciding which machinist you need to leave your prized stuff). Rating: 9

As a novice to the lower half of engines I found the book to be helpful. At least it was in taking my first small block apart. We'll see how I do when I put it back together. Defintely good for a first timer such as myself. Rating: 8
