Original Color was Polamar Red,with Red upholstery,and White top.I did change the color of the car because I thought the original color was to 1964-ish.I felt the car needed just a little updating in paint.The color is Garnet Red,a GM color 72U that was used on 1986-1997 Buicks,Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles.The color is real close to the original color,it does have metallic in paint and is a little lighter in shade.

I had just installed the 396 about a week before driving to this event. I only had 160 miles on the engine when I headed south to the Orange County Fairgrounds. It ended up being a cool and hassle free (never even opened the tool bag) 460 mile round trip on the new motor. If you ever get the chance to go to a Cruisin' for a Cure event....it is a MUST go to annual event. There were over 3000 cars at the fairgrounds on this one day only show and plenty of vendors to check out the latest in hotrodding and restorations.
