Powerglide rebuild...

I recently bought a 283 and powerglide combo pulled frome a 65' impala that I will be instaling into my 67'. I'm rebuilding the engine with the help from an expierenced friend and I wanted to have the tranny gone through before I put them in. Can anyone give me a rough figure on what the average cost would be to have a powerglide rebuilt. No shift kit or any high perfomance stuff, just a normal rebuild. I know a rebuild kit cost around $200 so I imagine that it couldn't be too much more than that.
Thanks for any info

a stage one shift kit isn't a bad idea, it shouldn't bang into gear behind a 283, it will
prolong clutch and band life and it it'll take that typical p/glide gear change lag out of it
