Disc Brake Conversion for 1965 Impala

Hello everyone, looking to get a disc brake conversion done on my 1965 impala SS. Any recommendations for a mechanic or shop here in Los Angeles that does good work? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Team!

The factory offered Corvette four piston Girling disc bakes on your model (1965-'70) starting in 1969. If you can find those parts used (hardest to find is the front hub that the rotor bolts to) you could have factory original brakes.

Best bet is MMP brake kit that uses an eighties Monte Carlo front disc brake parts adapted to fit your spindles.

Are you keeping the stock diameter wheels? I actually have a factory front disc setup from my 69 that I am not using.

If you have room for larger brakes, take a look at KORE3 conversion kits. If your year isn't directly listed, give them a call as Tobin actually produces more applications than he advertises. I have 13" C6 brakes all around on my car and can attest that it STOPS.
