Wagon got rear suspension from UMI Performance

Another project that got done. Last year, wagon got new front suspension redone and this year was the time to do rear. I have opted to replace whole lower and upper control arms instead of just doing the bushings. I figured that dealing with old rusted metal and pressing bushings is not worth it so I got complete kit (upper and lower rear control arms and panhard bar) from UMI Performance (site's sponsor). I got free shipping which was nice considering the weight of the items. Price was also very competitive. Package arrived quickly and parts were of good quality. I have opted for black finish and non-adjusted arms. They came with bushings already installed and had ports to apply grease. Installation was pretty straight forward without any issues.

How the car drives after the suspension job? Well, like new. Last year doing the front suspension made a big improvement on the ride quality. This time with brand new suspension (I also replaced springs and shocks) the car drives straight as an arrow without any shaking.

Just wanted to share positive experience with UMI and post some info for others who are thinking of replacing their rear suspension.

Thanks Alex!

Pretty cool how these old girls handle when you remove several hundred thousands of miles of wear. I remember these beasts when they were show room new and looked forward to driving them. Only thing missing now is the new car smell (probably carcinogenic so there really isn't any real loss).

Will do once it stops raining here. Not much have changed on the exterior though. Just few more paint chips here and there
