Jegs wheels for my 64

Hey guys i just want to bring up a cheaper alternative for rims. If you are on a budget like i am then this might be a thought for you. I like having nice rims and tires on my projects i think that it can transform the car from nice to amazing with the right setup. Of course like everyone when you have mouths to feed and you really want those cragars you cant. So my goal was a nice new set of rims that would be a little taller and wider to fill the massive wheel well of these cars. It also had to be big enough to except a disc brake conversion down the road. So that ment no 14x6 like the stock rim which is getting harder to find good tires for. Also a little different then the ralleys and cragars and american racing stars. In setting out i found a cragar 15x8 that started at $84 a rim that was powder coated black. Not bad. While i was pricing it out on jegs i came across there brand read the reviews and thought why not. They started at $64 a rim for a 15x8. I was also able to get brand new centers from cragar that were blank with no logo at $3.99 a piece with brand new valve stems and chrome lug nuts. With tax i was just at $345.00. Not bad. But jegs had one of there deals going on and was able to get $35 off. Know i was at $310.00. Sweet deal. I have to say they look nice, had to fidget with the balance a little bit but all in all i got what i was after. I can know have new rims with a modern tire that will accept a whole different amount of tire sizes depending on what i want to do. I can do a disc conversion i can run a slick or something more streetable and wide. I have a set of 235 60 r15 mastercraft avengers on them right know and looks good filling up the wheel wells.

In the good old days (when your car was new) everybody ran 15"x8" chrome reversed rims instead of the more expensive Cragars or American Wheels (think Two Lane Blacktop's '55).
