Heater Fan Motor Removal

The heater fan (non AC car) looks to be a bitch to get at. What do I need to do to remove it? '62 Impala.

I've never done it but from the '63 (I don't have '62 but it may be the same) Assembly Manual, the blower looks like it is removed from under the hood by removing the heater and blower air inlet assembly. One of the screws holding it in place looks to be VERY difficult to get at; its outboard and below the blower and the fender may have to be removed.

Perhaps some one with experience removing it will help out.

I googled "'62 Impala engine bay" for images to see what the set up was like. As with all chevy cars from the early 60's - mid to late 70's, you have to pull the passenger side inner fender well. Once you get it out, the fan motor is right there. Make sure you use some sort of lube on the bolt threads to aid in the removal.
