1965 Impala courtesy lights shorting ?

I have just recently installed all new wiring harnesses throughout the vehicle. All but two harnesses are brand new. I have an issue with the 15a fuse for the tail lights. When I open the door all 4 of the Courtesy Lights come on and the fuse blows. If i unplug the harness that goes back to the two rear courtesy lights the problem goes away.

So I removed both lights from the sail panels and unplugged the wires from the back looking for breaks or shorts. When i plug the orange wire in and touch the white to the light housing the light works as it should and does not blow the fuse but as soon as i plug the white wire in it blows the fuse.

I am guessing the sockets are bad or am I missing something?

That would be my assumption.
