69 impala bucket seats

Hey there, I am new to Team Impala, I have a 69 Impala Custom. I have had it for about 14 years now and still in love with it. Recently I have added a big block and now adding bucket seats and a console. Was wondering if anyone has done this conversion before and how difficult it is. I ordered the bucket seat brackets for the inner track mounts but I found the studs are too far apart for the seat mounts. I am debating whether or not to install an automatic floor shifter. I love the old "horseshoe" style shifter but am not sure about the changes in wiring for the nuetral safety and the steering column lock linkage for the trans. I may just leave it a column shift and fabricate my own floorshift "delete" plate for the console. Any info would be appreciated about the shifter conversion, thank you.

There should be a plug and play wiring harness for the console. Just unplug the old harness and plug in the new. I converted my 64 Impala to bucket seats and it required inner and outer seat brackets welded to the floor 69 might be different. The lock on the steering wheel should not change with the auto on the floor. If I remember right the bar that locks the steering wheel connects to the tranny not the shifter.
