I have my complete rear seat pan and left front passenger to replace. I'm thinking it might be easier to do the whole floor pan complete with braces. I've welded some patches in the past but never a whole pan. Any integrity issues with the body when removing the whole floor? Any suggestions? Thanks
To install a full floor pan the car has to be off of it's frame with the body on a rotisserie. Before you cut out the floor pan to replace it you have to first weld in 1" x 1" square tubing to replace the loss of integrity that will occur when you chop out the floor. Without the added bracing you will never get anything to line up again. You will probably need two additional helpers to assist you in handling the pan and getting it tacked into place.
The Impa is supported on 4 big 12 ton jack stands on its frame...If I r&r the Passenger full pan and full rear seat, one at time will the body be gtg?
