Replace High Beam Headlight

Can someone tell me the process for replacing the high beam headlight on a 63 impala. I removed the trim ring but was not sure about next step after that.

Once you have the chrome trim removed you will see a stainless steel ring holding the bulb in it's socket with two flat hear slotted machine screws ninety degrees apart. Remove those two screw (there is a dedicated screw driver used by mechanics and the dealership to prevent loosing them), but it can be done with a regular blade screw driver if you are careful.

You can buy these at Home Depot;

Once the screws are removed the bulb is no longer held in place and should slip out enough for you to un-plug it. Replace with a new bulb putting the glass prongs into the mild steel cad plated light bucket so that it is aligned. It only goes in one way and the electrical connection on the back should be turned to match what it was like before it came out.

Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly (R&R).
