No Wipers?

Just spit-balling here, but what if... you didn't want wipers cluttering your windshield? I took mine off my restored '65 SS and the look is super clean. Since I don't drive in the rain anyway (for many reasons), why have that shiny baggage upfront cluttering the view - both outward and inward?

My question is: WHAT DO I DO WITH THE WIPER NUBS? How do I make those ugly metal nubs look more presentable than just the raw splines sticking through the induction panel? Is there a fix to cover them with something? Even something shiny... or not. All suggestions welcome.

You could remove the wiper motor and linkage and just plug the holes with electrical conduit caps sold at your national hardware big box store.

I'd do what Dave says.

For bonus points, you have a shop weld in quarter-sized plugs, maybe even think about removing the raised portion and just make it sleek!
You could do this to a used panel too, maybe from a junkyard, that way you do not 'ruin' your original piece with any mistakes or time-delays.

FWIW - I was too lazy to put the ugly wipers back on my car so I have the nubs sticking through and they are black like my car. I live with it.

I'm thinking I would carry the wiper arms in the trunk (just in case I got caught in the rain) and cover the nubs with a small piece of formed plastic made in the right color for my car at my local sign shop.

My pal at the local sign shop here said they have a "forming machine" that would likely work. Thanks for the germ of an idea .

Along the lines of Rick's idea but possibly less expensive, and easier...the first thought I had was a vinyl end cap.

I was thinking of rubber end caps. Found some easily with a Google search. I requested samples of various sizes.
