Welcome to the Team Mike!

What branch and were were you stationed? I'm a Squid myself; "brown shoe" service from Vietnam era.

You probably won't be able to access the classified section until you get at least ten qualifying posts (computer counts words; I count content for spam or other issues). So if you are going to say "me too" it will take a lot more than ten posts.

Welcome! Skip the classifieds and hit up eBay and even Impala groups on Facebook. Both are goldmines.

I live in the weeds with five acres of tree covered land that has an old car under each tree. In the city you can not do that. But if you can find a storage garage you could buy a second car to provide missing parts or sheet metal for your project car. As these cars becoming rarer with time you can often sell the scrap that wasn't consumed by the finished project to another seeking parts for close to what you paid for it originally. This allows you to complete your project for the cost of the rent on your storage unit.

We have a moderator on the Nova board that bought and sold 14 Nova cars to complete his project and actually made money selling off what he didn't use. He lives in the desert southwest and I have no idea how much land he has but I don't see a lot of neighbors around where he lives (unless you count rattle snakes). Florida has few rattle snakes left due to loss of habitat but they are a lot bigger than the tiny ones I saw out west; don't recommend aggravating them or killing them as they do good for the environment (unless you like Norwegian Warf rats that are really big and destructive or possums living in your car).

Welcome to the site! I'm a 63 Impala guy. My two projects are an Impala 2 door hardtop and an Impala SS Convertible. I also bought a 4 door hardtop for parts. I have not started to part it out yet, but I suspect I will be able to get more than I paid for the car just selling the parts I will not need. I've also parted out a 60 4 door that I bought at auction and got about 5X what I paid for it out of parts.

I wish my Convertible was a 4 speed to start with, but I have been slowly gathering the parts to make it a 4 speed (or 5 speed overdrive) when I am done with it. The Hardtop is getting gutted and made into a Pro Street build.

I have to agree the parts section is pretty sparse on the site here, but I have found lots on facebook in X frames group and 1963 Impala group plus a couple others. I'm also on some Pro Street groups there as well.

1963 Impala 2 door hardtop (Pro Street build in progress)
1963 Impala 4 door hardtop (Parts car)
