Hello

Thanks for allowing me into this forum. though I do not own a classic chevy I have located my first car. The actual car not something like it. It is a 65 Impala 2 door sport coupe. the years have not been kind but I was allowed to remove some parts. I have plans for these parts and the reason I am here. I have the instrument cluster disassembled and I am looking for the bulb filters for the brake and bright indicators. Ive tried several sources and so far nothing. Anyone know of a source for these?

Not sure what you are referring to when you say "Bulb Filters".

these are flat pieces of some sort of plastic. like you would put on a camera lens to change color.thus the term "filter". one is red and says BRAKE. the other blue? and says BRIGHT,. these have gotten hot and distorted beyond use.

Didn't realize they were that thick, and molded. On the Nova they are flat thin plastic.

Classic Industries resells the complete dash. They buy this assembly from OER who may sell the lens separate.

I was also wondering since they are molded if they are part of the wiring harness which American Auto Wire reproduces.

they are not very thick at all. like a camera lens filter. the ones in the pic are distorted from heat. originally they are flat. if I can find who makes the replacement speedo maybe they will have them but I have seen some that do not include these. numerous vendors do carry the replacement and the ones ive talked to cant or don't seem to want to help. mostly I just get a no we cant help you

to clarify they are not molded. they are flat like on the Nova but may be a different shape.

Welcome to the site- hope you're able to locate a source for those things! I second the possibility that OER might be willing to sell just those bits as they offer up many types of dashes that would need those.
