Just Getting Started

Just purchased a 63 SS, 409, 425, 4-speed. Looking forward to getting started making some additions and modifications...any suggestions wheel and tire sizing...like to get into the 17" or 18" ranges...what width will fit between a 12.19" disc and the bubble in the fenders in the rear...doesn't look like there's too much room there??

Very cool car, welcome to the site! Sorry but mine is a 66 so I'm not much help on the tire sizing.

If that is a true 409/425 car I would be leaving it as stock as possible and finding something else to modify into a daily type driver. The original 409/425 has solid lifters and really was not designed as a daily cruiser in its stock form. Also the dual quads allow it to pass everything, but a gas station.
