Ignition removal

I lost my keys to 66 ss, and trying to replace the lock cylinder. Is there anyway I can do it without the keys, I’ve seen where you have to have them.
The paper clip goes in but don’t want to mess it up.
Any help would be great!

Unless the tumblers are worn out and you can get another key to work the only way to get the lock cylinder out is drilling from what I have seen. If I remember right you can't even remove the whole ignition switch from the dash without getting the tumbler out first as the bezel will not go over the cylinder.

You can actually remove the ignition round bolt. You have to keep loosening it and it will come out, may teat up the round part of the cylider a bit but you’re changing that anyway. Once thats off just unplug the harness
