1960 Impala 4 door sport sedan

Just picked up a 1960 4 door Impala sport sedan with a 348 engine, engine code is TOI28G low horse power engine. Vin #01839S174179
Trim tag is,
60-1839 Body SL 11466
Trim 809 Paint 940A
ACC. C EZI
My question is, the trim tag does not have a month and week stamped on it. Does the date on the engine line up with car. I bought it thinking the engine is original to the car.
Thank you for all the help. Weston

Without a date code on the Trim Tag you won't know, because that is the only place the assembly date appears on the car so far as I know.

So The Vin number does not tell you the month of the build. I thought there was a way to see the start vin and end win of each month.

They didn't put the month and day of assembly on the trim tag until 1961.

There is a way to estimate the week your car was built, but I'm not that up on it. The Date Code of the Engine and the Week your car was built should pretty much match. If you don't get a good enough answer here, try on Chevytalk in the '58-'60 Forum. There are members over there that should be able to help.
