Try eBay. It's a gold mine for parts.

Ebay is one place.
Of Course, Craigslist is another.

I just found several 66 columns here but you should call them to ensure it's Tilt and all that http://www.car-part.com

Case you didn't know, people are asking upwards of $600+ for original tilt columns. High demand. You can get brand new American made ones with tilt, and flashers and new (better made!) turn signal mechanism for the same price from IDIDIT or Flaming River.
(I bought an IDIDIT brand)

Also remember that there are two different kinds. There is the Floor Shift Tilt and a Column Shift Tilt.

Then there is also Tilt-Tele's.

I just ordered a kit for my 61 from Flaming River. Heard great reviews about their steering products.

(Sorry BA ... didn't read through your comment)

I used a Summit racing tilt column # SUM-771713-NK in my 66 Impala with floor shift'er, without ignition switch. Quality is good and the price was only $229.99. There is an electrical adapter which includes the 4 way flasher available from Classic industries # MP37618. Both these items fit good and did not require any modifications to the car or the wiring.

Tilt column, split bench seat, power bench seat, etc. are all up scale options that are fairly rare on a Chevy (entry level to GM's fleet of cars). On a Cadillac, or a Buick they are standard equipment, on an Olds or a Pontiac they are much more common. All interchange with each other.

Keep[ in mind that all brand names used the same B-body that they bought from Fisher, only difference is the grill, the trim and the Motor before 1974. After 1974 most used a Chevy small block for a V8 and a Buick V6 if a 6 as the brand specific motors were no longer produced.

I have a tilt steering column, I removed it from my parts car. It was a 1966 Caprice, automatic column shift with the strato bench seat. I also have one of the two pieces to secure the column to the dash. I have the lower piece. I left the upper piece on the parts car thinking it was the same as my 1965's, that was a mistake. I was going to install the column in my 1965 but would consider parting with it.

gmtilt.com is basically just a guy who rebuilds GM steering columns. He was taking a break but may be building again. He took my 69 column and I got it back as a tilt column, new electrical components, and billet handles.
