1964 convertible frame

OK, here is my problem, I am restoring a 64 ss vert. I purchased it several years ago and drove it for a couple years before starting my restoration. I have the body ready to go back on the frame and somebody told me it was not the convertible frame. It is a boxed frame that apparently had the convertible mounts welded on. When I did the frame I assumed it was right. I am not an expert on frames but I have researched it a little and no it is not a vert frame. My question is has anyone had any experience using a boxed frame under a convertible? They look stronger than one made from C channels. Should it be reinforced? Its a 327 stock motor with a 4 speed. Can anyone post a picture of a convertible x frame so I could see where the reinforcement is? Any help would be appreciated.

Convertible frame is stamped out of a heavier gauge steel and has two extra reinforcing cross members that a standard sedan doesn't have.
