dadstoy | Mine came with brake fluid, thats whats still in it. Do not, whatever you do mix, the two. They dont play well togather. |

I would use power steering fluid. Power steering fluid and ATF differ very little chemically. The red dye in ATF is used as an indicator of overheated fluid. It turns brown when it gets hot or old. Both are high quality mineral oil based hydraulic fluid designed to resist foaming. Big Dave |

Which device are we thinking of changing the fluid in? Power Steering reservoir? Motor oil in the engine? Transmission fluid for an automatic transmission, or a manual they are different! Big Dave |

jayoldschool | Trans fluid or brake fluid. If yours is clear, I would guess brake. |

1965 impala ss convert What did they use What oil did they use in the pump motor and cyls I am cahnging mine Some people say auto trans fluid is good? Mine had a clear oil in it maybe hyraulic oil or mineral oil |
