With no rear modifications you should be able to go approx 30" tire diameter & approx 11" wide tire section. Should be simple enough to find tires that fit those specs.

I don't know, so just guessing that a real "SS427" would have the special hood with the center louvers, while an Impala with a 427 would have the standard hood. Also the rear trunk emblem/molding.

What are you talking about? GM 10 & 12 bolts don't have drain plugs. You just loosen the cover.
