Yes, true for Impala and Chevelle. For some odd reason if you ordered a 66 Nova 283/220hp (4 barrel) you got a Rochester 4 jet, not a Quadrajet.

The solenoid wire is normally heavier gauge and purple. Also, this is on the wrong side of the car and I'm not sure why the solenoid wire would need a rubber grommet.

It should actually be a 13 digit VIN, so I think you have an extra digit there. At least the Canadian 66's that I'm familiar with were 13 digits.
