Do you have an HEI distributor? Check the ignition module. I've had a few crap out while driving on previous cars, and it's instantaneous - engine stops running while everything else still works.

Hello all,
Attached is a pic of the oil filter adapter on my 496. This is an adapter with a bypass, correct? Dumb question, just want to be sure. Thanks for any replies.

Weird. Maybe get an inspection scope and see if there is anything blocking the fuel from filling the tank if you can't see anything? There are scopes on Amazon for around $50-60.

That rear triangular bracket uses the factory exhaust manifolds as a mounting - that's why it's offset. You may have trouble getting that to work with your headers...
