Just to share with everybody I always knew it was an acceleration lag from the engine four years been trying to figure it out last Saturday was able to fix it and gain 20% more power.
The mechanical advance from the distributor line was incorrectly attached to the large port at the rear bottom of the four barrel carb. This was giving way too much vacuum. And held it back from accelerating and gave it a little rough idle. The front of the car is a much smaller port on the passenger side this was connected and it drives like a brand new car. Of course the old report was plugged up. 👍🏼 Keep on racing I plan to do quarter mile with the 283 and an all-time best time 😋
