140 MPH Speedometer

Hi everyone!
I have a 1967 Impala ss convertible that has 140mph speedometer in it.
I have been told that they are very rare and have had someone interested in buying it from me with a swap of his 120 mph. Does anyone have an idea what a fair market value would be?

if your SS is original why would you de-value it by selling off an original part?

It would be super interesting if that was due to it being an ex-cop car or government vehicle.
I guess if it was it might also have some text denoting special calibration or something.......

I have the build sheet and it was not listed as an option typically they only came on police vehicles

Could be part of an SS build or a special model. Wasn't the SS427 a 67 model year option ? Does your car have a tach too ?

Yes the 427 was an option in 1967, the car doesn't have a tach

Do you have a picture of it? I think the police speedometer face (140 mph) had a mark on it for every 2 mph.
