Hello, I need to hook up my negative battery cable to the engine block but I have lost the original bolt awhile back. Anyone know what size the bolt is that hold the negative battery cable to engine block? I had some 9/16 bolts laying around, which was too small. Thanks!

It should be a 3/8th inch course thread (16 threads per inch) with a 9/16 hex head cap. Don't know how long as it will depend upon where you are attaching the ground cable to the engine (scrape off any shinny new paint under the cable).

The other end is a 1/4-20 with a square head to fit in a recess in the batter terminal.
