I just recently got a 68 Impala Converitable and I noticed when I put the top boot on the strip behind the backseat is worn.
The two end snap clips work fine, but the center which appears is work out Velcor type material is worn and it doesn't stick to the top boot.

So was wondering if that can be replaced and where I could find it. Also what is is actually called.

Hi Poulos and welcome to the forum. On my '65 it is just plain old black Velcro. If not, you could certainly replace it with Velcro. For the part behind the rear set, use a small amount of trim adhesive and trim screws. The portion on the boot may need to be replace as well, but that will require some heavy-duty sewing. A canvas or upholstery shop could do that for you. Hope this helps
