If you installed disc brakes that move everything out board a quarter inch it just might. Split the difference so that one side isn't taking up all of the slack.

This is why I recommend buying the complete front end combined with disc brake kit with brand new everything from ball joints to center link. Some kits even include coil springs or dropped spindles but what ever it includes all of the parts fit together and when you are done you can set the odometer back at zero as far as wear is concerned

the thing im talkin about is a steering coupling the joint before the firewall will it come out while driving
can you show a picture of what you are talking about if it is an aftermarket u joint if it is not tight it can. if it is the collapsible joint from factory it most defiantly can come apart if clip is not tight or bolt is not in grove. CCP sells everything you need for a steering column from double u joints to shafts call and tell them what you have they will help you. main thing is to stay safe out there and enjoy driving
