What is the best way to remove the cross flagged emblems on front fender on a 1964 Impala? I think they are studs
thank you both for the feedback.I do have new emblems.Thank you again.Fender does not need to come off. Just lie on your back, shine a light up there, then reach up and take the nuts off. As Dave said, it's easy to break the emblem. Not a big deal, new ones are available and inexpensive.
Are you saying to pull the inner fender (wells) loose and then you can get to the studs by reaching in ? thank you.Remove the fender and then unscrew the pal nuts that hold the soft easily broken pot metal studs that hold the emblem in place.

LOL ok I get it,thank you again ,great site!I am really big! So I just pulled fenders and other parts off of cars to work on them. If you are not six foot six, and weigh over three hundred pounds you may be able to bend, flex and get under the car to work on it without taking it apart. (Just imagine me trying to work under the dash)

Wondering if you figured out how to put them back on? I took them off, just hoping there is an easier way for them to go on.What is the best way to remove the cross flagged emblems on front fender on a 1964 Impala? I think they are studs
Thanks I will try that… I know I am working hard.. haIf you can't reach in and get to the back of it with the door open, loosen the bottom bolt of the fender and carefully prop a piece of wood in place to give you a little more room.
