Greetin's Gents!
Just recently dropped the pan from my '63 Impala's 2spd Powerglide Transmission. Swirling around in the residual fluid of the pan were a number of very tiny flakes of metal. Since the trans has over 93,000 original miles on it, should I be concerned?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Not really. There will always be some debris in the bottom of a well used auto pan. It'll need a rebuild eventually, but if it still works, go ahead and run it. Clean out the pan, install new filter, new gasket, reinstall, fill it up.

Thanks Jay!
It's actually in the shop now for its first rebuild. Just thought I'd get a second opinion.
