Have a look in images you may be able to figure out the unknown fuse i.d.
Did you make sure you refitted all grounds correctly when you re-installed the dash?
Brake light power comes via the switch, probably around the brake pedal area under dash, if it's like mine it'll have a spring attached, it's been a few years since I looked but I adjusted mine so the brake lights come on slightly before the brakes come on, just to give the tailgaters a bit more time.
Tail-lights power is via the light switch, you don't mention if headlights are working? On my car there's a junction block that feeds through into the trunk from behind the rear passenger seat, it connects to the rear light harness, see if you have the same, if so it's a good place to check for power to the rear while testing.
