I have a 2012 impala ltz i was on the freeway the dash read trans hot idle engine. I pulled over to see what was going on n it stalled. Windows wouldnt roll up its wont turn over radio and – lights on but no power anywhere else can't change the gears to put it in neutral so I had to pull a part the shifter to get to the button put it in neutral and had it towed home. Then I couldn't get the key to release from the ignition so it killed the battery overnight I finally pulled apart the steering column to push the button to get the key release change the battery still nothing I thought it might be the wires 2 the shifter So I replaced that still nothing any ideas

That sounds terrible mate. Sorry to tell you that this site is mostly geared for the older 50s-70's Impala's.
